The new PricewaterhouseCoopers report : Bordeaux is the 4th French Metropolis for its potential of development and its attractivity!

The very serious report done by the auditing company pwc (PricewaterhouseCoopers), first edition of «Cities of Today, Metropolis of Tomorrow» dated December 2015, ranks the Bordeaux Metropolis after Lyon, Paris and Toulouse.

The study includes a grid rating present performance and future potential of the 15 cities which will be the future French metropolis, analyzing 60 indicators, spread into 3 main themes: potential and connection to the world, quality of living, and economical capital. Let’s mention that this national report is also fostered by 10 years of international studies, comparing globally the Cities of Opportunity.

In France, Paris stays the most connected to the world, but Lyon comes first, especially thanks to its quality of life, Paris being only 6th on that aspect. Toulouse is strong, mainly thanks to its human and intellectual capital (1st) and its economic dynamism, with aeronautics. Bordeaux is in the top group, with a 4th place, thanks to its changes, intellectual and human capital (education, degree, research), its quality of life, its urban infrastructures (1st with its historical heritage, the consequent budget allocated to equipment costs, and the relatively high number of housing available). Bordeaux comes before Strasbourg, Lille, Nantes, Grenoble and Rennes.

Bordeaux is relatively high is terms of accommodation for the elderly, but not doing so well when it comes to the cultural and leisure offers, and the cost of living -which is quite high compared with the average wealth of its inhabitants.
